Friday Plein-Aire Painters are a vibrant community of creatives who meet weekly to paint outdoors, embracing the traditional plein-air style. Their art captures Newcastle’s diverse scenes, from its rugged coastline to its historic urban landscapes.

The artists collaborated with Hunters Writers’ Centre to present the exhibition Newcastle Scenes’ at Lighthouse Arts on Whibayganba-Nobbys Headland. The artworks celebrate Newcastle’s unique regional beauty and employ a variety of media, including oil and acrylic paints, pastels, pen and ink, and gouache.

The Friday Plein Aire Painters are a subsection of the Society of Artists Newcastle, located in Howe Street, Lambton.

Free entry. Donations welcome.
