Coastal Impressions is an exhibition of artistic prints by 16 members of the Newcastle Printmakers Workshop, inspired by our love of the coast. We are drawn to the beach, rock pools and wildlife along with the activities we enjoy there:shell collecting, surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming and fishing.

We aim to capture our experiences of the coast through a wide range of printmaking techniques including linocut, etching, silkscreen and collagraphs. We invite you to immerse yourself in our impressions of the coastal region where we are fortunate to live.

House of Stories II is an annual exhibition, showcasing the incredible diversity of works created by artists who have undertaken a residency at Lighthouse Arts. From polished masterpieces to rough sketches, intimate journal entries, and experimental pieces, the exhibition reflects the myriad practices and perspectives nurtured within the residency program. Each work offers a glimpse into the experience of creating at Lighthouse Arts.

Blooms are a symbol in our society that are recognised in life events expressing joy, sadness/loss, excitement, new beginnings and more. The fundamental of giving a bloom is an extension of expression from the heart, for the ‘Blooming’ exhibition artists were given the opportunity to explore their own interpretation within this focal of flora and moments in life that make us bloom.

Join us for the ‘Heroine’, an exhibition exploring the longevity of art therapy as daily practice to identify the heroine within. Artists in this exhibition are women who have done art therapy with exhibition curator, Lucy Prior, or who have done art to process their own trauma and experiences. The concept derives from how art resonates, connects, and creates a space for reflection and fosters inner strength.
