Coastal Impressions is an exhibition of artistic prints by 16 members of the Newcastle Printmakers Workshop, inspired by our love of the coast. We are drawn to the beach, rock pools and wildlife along with the activities we enjoy there:shell collecting, surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming and fishing.
We aim to capture our experiences of the coast through a wide range of printmaking techniques including linocut, etching, silkscreen and collagraphs. We invite you to immerse yourself in our impressions of the coastal region where we are fortunate to live.

Artists in this exhibition are women who have done art therapy with exhibition curator, Lucy Prior, or who have done art to process their own trauma and experiences. The concept derives from how art resonates, connects, and creates a space for reflection and fosters inner strength.
