I truely enjoyed my residency experience at Lighthouse Arts, from the walk out and back to the quiet hours spent in the cottages. The Lighthouse is an icon of Newcastle, and who hasn’t dreamt of living in a lighthouse? Time spent at Lighthouse Arts allowed me time to work on some research tasks I was completing as part of a mentoring program, as well as editing and planning images. I love photographing our coast. Being above the sea and below the clouds Nobbys-Whibayganba was the perfect place to be. My passion is wild, stormy weather so I do hope to spend some more time at the Lighthouse in the winter months. I imagine it is completely engulfed by the weather at times.
